This is the true life story about Scott Conover, who moved to Johnson County, Tn from the Florida Keys. He invested over several hundred thousand dollars in building a beautiful resort; including a bar, restaurant, hotel, flea market, and campground. It sounded like a great get-away but, after witnessing a Johnson County, TN Sheriff Deputy brutalizing a citizen late one night in his parking lot, and reporting, what six witnesses saw, to the Sheriff in the morning, it turned into a nightmare from hell. The Sheriff's department began a campaign of intimidation, harassment, and arrests against Scott Conover and his family. This is almost like a sequel of the movie, "Race With The Devil," as in the movie the the outsiders reported what they saw to the sheriff, and the sheriff's cronies attacked them. Imagine getting arrested 9 times on bogus fictitious charges by out of control uneducated cops that don't even know how to spell your name . Does this sound unbelievable? Well, It's true and well documented.

Speaking to Mr.Conover recently, he stated the intimidation, harassment, and arrests were just too much for him to deal with at the time; along with the corrupt cops and rouge attorneys in the county. They continuously put his family's life in danger, as well as his own. He has since relocated his family, losing out on his investment along the way. Conover stated that he lost several hundred thousand dollars, which he had invested in the resort located in Trade, TN. He said enough was enough, after he received information from Mark Combs, who owned a computer company in Mountain City,TN, about his neighbor William Douglas Benore of Trade, TN. Combs told Conover that Benore was into child pornography. Soon after learning this information, Conover discovered that Benore was stalking his wife and children. Conover immediately got a restraining order to protect his family against William Douglas Benore of Trade, TN, who has a landscaping business called Men -N- Trees in Trade, TN. This turned out to be absolutely worthless, as the sheriff's department wouldn't even enforce it. Then, the freak/stalker hires the Johnson County Attorney's firm on record, Smith and Cockett, to represent him. The same firm who is employed by and represents Johnson county on a daily basis. Imagine that. You get a restraining order from the Johnson County Courthouse to keep a freak/stalker away from your family, and the freak/stalker can hire Bill Cockett, who is employed by the county and is on their payroll, to protect him, from the same restraining order that they issued you. Bill Cockett, the county attorney, is from of the bottom of the barrel - he's the worst of the worst. This is an attorney with absolutely no ethics, scruples, or morals, and who is motivated by money only. Conover stated that his goal was to expose these corrupt cops, attorneys, and the handful of public officials - who think they are above the law and are able to abuse it as they see fit, using the sheriff's department for their own monetary gain daily.

Within the last five years while Scott Conover lived in Johnson County, TN, the sheriff's department has charged him with eight charges,
all being dismissed. It is blatantly clear that these cops have
violated Mr. Conover's civil rights and civil liberties, over and over
again. No one should be subjected to this kind of intimidation and
retaliation by any law enforcement agency; the abuse of power and
authority within this department is as clear as day, after reading all
of the reports, and documented evidence. Conover stated that he has
spent over one hundred thousand dollars in legal fees to defend himself
for the numerous fictitious charges that these cops have continued to
fabricate against him because they dislike him, and obviously hold a
personal vendetta against him, for once being sued in the United States Federal Court for Civil Right Violations by him.
In all my years in the media, I have wrote thousands of articles and
never have I came across a story of this magnitude - with such
vindictiveness and malice intent. Conover stated that he feels for the
people that live in this county , and that cannot afford to defend themselves
or are unable to stand up for their rights against this corrupt
